Chelsea are just one game away from beating a 10-year old club record.
Last night, the Blues equalled this record by beating Rennes 3-0 in the Champions League Group E match.
This game meant they have now gone 5 games in a row keeping a clean sheet, the last time they did this was in 2010, as Goal reports.
One player who has been pinnacle to this is new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. He has come in an instantly made the defence look ten times more solid, as has Thiago Silva and Ben Chilwell.
But not forgetting Reece James and Kurt Zouma, who have been equally as solid and have played their part in keeping these clean sheets.
Mendy though, holds his own impressive stats. Since joining Chelsea, he has now had 6 clean sheets in 7 games, which is quite remarkable.
Chelsea get their 5th clean sheet in a row, something they have not achieved in 10 years!

This new Chelsea back line just looks solid, organised, and full of confidence. A total contrast from last season’s leaky defence.
Long may it continue!
