Hakim Ziyech had a great run at Ajax before joining Chelsea, and he was accordingly always linked with moves away from the Dutch side.
In a press conference today, the Morocco star actually admitted that two years ago “I was almost moving somewhere else,” but then said he was glad he had stayed put, not only for his success at Ajax but also because it had lead him to come to Chelsea in the end.
He wouldn’t reveal where he had almost moved to, despite being asked. At this stage, it doesn’t really matter either way.
