Ruben Loftus-Cheek has had a difficult spell at Chelsea in the last year. A terrible injury saw him recover just in time for the coronavirus break, making it hard to find his fitness.
Since then he’s played sporadically, including a poor performance on Monday night.
Frank Lampard was asked about his midfielder after the game, and he explained how “we have to give Ruben a bit of time”, considering the disrupted 12 months he’s had.
We’re all in favour of that. We’ve seen just how good he can be, and we have full faith that with a run of games he can get back to where he was before.
