These transfer windows will historically bring a lot of drama, and whether you love it or you hate it, you can’t help getting caught up in it all.
There was a very odd story bubbling up yesterday after Sky Italy reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claimed that Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud had provisionally agreed a contract to join Juventus.
Pretty much as soon as this news came out, it was shut down by a few sources close to Chelsea.
I wrote early this morning that Giroud is staying at #CFC amid reports in Italy he’s agreed a deal with Juventus. The man himself has now confirmed it 👇 https://t.co/YVLcFPqL3N

And as you would have spotted in Johnson’s quoted tweet here, Giroud has also publicly denied the Juventus rumour insisting that ‘it is far from the truth’.
So that was that then right? Well, no, actually…
Di Marzio has come back up with a fresh report claiming that Giroud has a clause in his contract that if any club offer 5 million euros for him, he is allowed to leave Chelsea.
As Get French Football News report, Di Marzio still insists that Juventus could close a deal to sign Giroud this window.
Gianluca di Marzio strangely insisting tonight that Olivier Giroud has a deal with Chelsea that allows him to leave if a club bids €5m for him during this window – reaffirms that Juventus could look to close a deal, despite the Frenchman's denials earlier today.
