Transfer boost for Frank Lampard as club may be forced to sell priority Blues target

Chelsea will now turn their attentions to the transfer market after their season officially ended last night.

The season did not end well for The Blues, being defeated 4-1 by Bayern Munich in the Champions League, making it 7-1 on aggregate.

We already knew that Frank Lampard will be hunting the transfer market for reinforcements, but yesterday just further emphasised the need to do that again.

One player who has been highly linked with Chelsea as a priority target is West Ham and England midfielder, Declan Rice.

Chelsea have received a boost in their pursuit of Rice, according to The Sun.

They say that West Ham may now be forced to sell Rice, because they are in need of the finances.

The club have struggled through the coronavirus pandemic and as a result, they are looking to sell players this summer in order to put themselves in a more comfortable financial situation.
