Departing Willian is ‘upset and offended’ at Chelsea

Chelsea winger Willian is on the brink of sealing his move to Arsenal, as per Sky Sports.

The Brazilian has agreed a 3-year contract to join Chelsea’s close London rivals, a contract length that Chelsea simply were not offering him.

The Blues put a 2-year contract extension on the table for Willian, but he rejected this because he wanted a longer deal.

Bearing in mind Willian turns 32 in two days time, meaning he will be 35 when his contract runs out at The Emirates, this is a long contract.

According to The Daily Mail, Willian is ‘upset and offended’ at how Chelsea have handled the situation.

They claim that he is upset with Chelsea’s ‘take it or leave it’ contract offer and how the club have not met his demands.

To be fair, there aren’t many clubs that will offer a 32-year old a 3-year contract, so he should really be concentrating on counting his lucky chickens!
