Chelsea confident of securing £70-£75m Kai Havertz transfer with Petr Cech playing active role

Chelsea will step up their pursuit of Kai Havertz in the coming days, according to ESPN.

Bayer Leverkusen had still been playing in the Europa League, so the alleged negotiations had slowed up whilst that was going on.

However, they were knocked out by Antonio Conte’s Inter last night, and they will now press ahead to get the deal completed.

The Blues are confident in sealing the deal for £70-£75m, despite reports of Bayer holding out for £90m.

Chelsea legend turned technical director Petr Cech has been playing an active role in these negotiations, and he will be working hard to get a successful end to his work.

Havertz is highly considered as a priority target for Frank Lampard and Chelsea during this transfer window, and it is thought that other targets wont be pursued until this business is done.

As a result I’d expect this to be concluded very soon.
