Olivier Giroud was the key man for Chelsea today, heading home in the 3rd minute of first half stoppage time to give the Blues what would end up as their winning goal.
He had missed a few chances already, so it was an important moment for him.
His celebration attracted some curious glances however – he appeared to write on a piece of paper. What did it mean? Giroud answered in his post-match interview.
“I play scrabble with Kante,” the forward said, revealing that it was a gesture to his injured teammate.
Isn’t that cute! Now we just need the midfielder back.
