Poor finances mean Chelsea are ready to capitalise and sign transfer target

Chelsea are currently on a madness on the transfer scene. Not only are they being reliably linked to signing a host of top names, they have already confirmed the signings of two top class players, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech.

With more arrivals expected, Chelsea could be set to capitalise on a poor financial situation at one of their target players clubs.

West HamĀ are now increasingly considering player sales this summer due to a poor financial outlook amid the continuing coronavirus pandemic, according to Goal.

We know that Chelsea are targeting their midfielder Declan Rice this summer, and the report says that ideally they want to keep Rice, but they may reconsider later in the summer.

The transfer window has been extended until October this year, meaning that Chelsea have plenty of time to convince The Hammers to sell the England international.

The deal would be helped if Rice decides to ask to leave.
