From Italy – Jorginho not part of Lampard’s plans as Juventus work on deal to sign him

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has not played for Frank Lampard since the football restart.

Even when N’Golo Kante got injured during the last match against Watford, Lampard chose to bring on the in-experienced youngster Billy Gilmour over the Italian international.

This was quite significant, and looks like it could spell the end of Jorginho’s Chelsea career.

Two reports from Italy yesterday suggest that his time in London is numbered.

Calciomercato believe that his former boss Maurizio Sarri is working on a deal with Chelsea to bring Jorginho back to Italy and play under him again at Juventus.

Whilst Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, who has known close links to Sarri, has stated that Jorginho is no longer in the plans of Frank Lampard in his latest report yesterday.

At the moment, Chelsea’s 50 million euro asking price for Jorginho appears to be a bit of a stumbling block, but negotiations are ongoing, as per Calcio’s report.
