The Kai Havertz to Chelsea transfer saga is building up to be one of those deals.
Every day seems to bring a new rumour with an update on the negotiations, but most sources are in agreement that a deal should be done.
The latest report is a positive one for Chelsea fans.
The reliable Goal journalist Nizaar Kinsella has written today that Chelsea are pushing hard to complete the signing of Kai Havertz.
Although he says there has yet to be an official offer from Chelsea, they are negotiating.
Bayer Leverkusen have set an asking price of around €100m (£90m) although it is felt that a lower fee will ultimately be negotiated at around €76m (£70m).
Havertz is due to play for Bayer on Thursday in the Europa League, so you’d imagine that Chelsea will be keen to get any deal sealed before then.
But right now, they have their own game to focus on this weekend in the FA Cup Final versus Arsenal.
