West Ham’s interest in Ross Barkley could spark potential swap deal with Chelsea

Chelsea are continuing to be linked with signing a number of big stars this summer.

With the deal agreed to sign Timo Werner (as per The BBC), there are now reports that they are readying a £75 million offer to sign Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder and the international team mate of Werner, Kai Havertz, according to The Daily Mail.

With these new potential arrivals, there are now doubts being cast over the futures of players like Ross Barkley, who could see his playing time rapidly decrease as a result.

West Ham are interested in signing the England international, according to The Daily Mirror.

And as per Sky Sports, Chelsea have an interest in signing their midfielder Declan Rice.

With Rice being a more defensive minded midfielder, and Chelsea looking at attackers, they may look to do a swap deal with West Ham allowing an attacking midfielder to leave in the shape of Barkley.

It is certainly something to keep a close eye on.
