Official: Two Chelsea first team players agree new contracts

Chelsea announced the contract extensions of two key first team players late last night.

Frank Lampard has a tough and frequent run in to the season and is still in three competitions, so The Blues boss will need every single player in his squad.

Chelsea had until the end of play yesterday to agree new temporary contract extensions with any players whose contracts run out at the end of this month.

In this case, Willian and Pedro.

Despite whispers that they may not sign and see the season out, both have put pen to paper and agreed to stay until the end of this campaign, as officially revealed on the Chelsea website.

This means that they will be there until the end of The Premier League campaign, The FA Cup, and even The Champions League mini tournament that is due to take place in August, although Chelsea have a near impossible task to stay in that one.
