Juventus are placing greater importance on Jorginho negotiations with Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been at the previous two clubs of Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri.

As a result of this, the rumours of the Italian midfielder rejoining his fellow countryman back in Serie A will not go away.

The Athletic are the latest publication to provide an update on this potential deal.

They acknowledge the fact that Jorginho is viewed as ‘crucial’ to Sarri’s side, suggesting that he will be determined to sign him for Juventus.

They talk about Sarri’s interest in Chelsea left back Emerson Palmieri, but it is actually Jorginho that they are ‘placing a greater importance on negotiations’ for.

Chelsea are likely to want to keep hold of Jorginho, after he was made vice-captain by Frank Lampard last season. But you would not consider the player to be unsalable, especially if he expresses a desire to leave this summer.

Lampard did not hesitate to sell David Luiz to Arsenal last season after he became unhappy, which is a fine example of how Lampard runs things.
