Chelsea have been blessed with some pretty brilliant players down the years, but the last few years were dominated by one man – Eden Hazard.
As the Drogba-Lampard-Terry generation faded away, Hazard emerged as a proper star, and was the outstanding player in the Premier League for a period.
On ESPN they had a cracking debate over who was better in their prime – Hazard or Bale.
Bale won a lot more Champions Leagues, but Hazard shone so brilliantly for Chelsea for years in the league while Bale has struggled for form and fitness for Madrid for some time.
