Former Chelsea boss wants PL return and is keen on taking Blues midfielder with him

The current Premier League season looks set to resume as plans kick ahead for ‘project restart’.

Newcastle United are in the midst of a big money takeover and this has sparked rumours over the future of their current manager Steve Bruce.

However, according to The Telegraph, Bruce will stay as The Magpies boss until the end of this season at least.

But the summer could bring a different story, it could see the return to the English league once again for former Chelsea and Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.

The Telegraph claim that he is keen for a second coming at Tyneside and would want the position should it come up in the summer.

They even go as far to say that he has began making transfer plans, with Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley being on his shortlist of players.

It seems like a little way off yet, but Chelsea might soon be receiving a call from their former boss and will have a decision to make.
