Why Faustino Anjorin and Thierno Ballo might soon be playing for Frank Lampard

The Premier League could soon be making a return next month as the league push ahead with their project restart plans.

Players are expected to start filtering back to group training this week after a decisive meeting today.

Things are going to look very strange, and it is far from guaranteed that squads will be exactly the same yet either.

Clubs who have players with contracts running out at the end of next month, could face losing them for the remainder of the season.

FIFA have approved the renewing of temporary contracts so players can finish the season at their current clubs. But these must be negotiated and agreed with the players, as per The Guardian.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is not entirely convinced that he will be able to get all his players to agree these temporary new deals, as per The Chelsea website.

This will leave him rather short on numbers, especially in the attacking midfield positions with Pedro and Willian both having deals running out next month.

So Lampard may have to call upon academy talents such as Faustino Anjorin, who has already had a few first team outings this season, and up and coming 18-year old Thierno Ballo.

Both have the talent to do a job if called upon, and Lampard may not have a choice if hit with injuries again.
