“He’s so tidy in tight spaces” – International teammate raves about Chelsea winger

There is no better judge of a players ability than hearing it from another player who plays and trains alongside them on a regular basis.

Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic has had a stuttering first season so far at his new club, largely due to regular injury niggles.

He has shown some very positive signs though with pockets of absolute class in a handful of games when he was not injured, but he and Chelsea will now be keen for some regular game time to get some solid form and momentum going.

Pulisic’s quality has come under question by a small pocket of Chelsea fans, but it is players such as his USA international teammate Aaron Long who we really need to listen to on that subject.

And the New York Red Bulls centre back absolutely raves about Pulisic, even comparing him to his country’s legendary forward Landon Donovan.

As reported by Goal, Long said:

“He’s so tidy in tight spaces.

“His acceleration, and it’s not just his top speed, it’s quickness and top speed mixed together.

“I think Michael Bradley described it as light, almost like a Landon Donovan how he’s so light on his feet.

“The way he can dribble around defenders and make it look effortless is crazy. It’s something I’ve never seen before.”
