Chelsea ‘have opened a channel’ to sign Jadon Sancho, but asking price must come down

The Jadon Sancho saga continues, with seemingly two teams in the main battle to sign the England international this summer.

Chelsea and Manchester United will go heat-to-head to sign the Dortmund winger when the transfer window reopens, according to a number of sources including the latest report from The Daily Mirror.

However, they say that due to the current climate living in these unprecedented times, Dortmund’s £100 million price tag will need to come down if either of these teams are to sign Sancho.

United have been in touch with his agent, and Chelsea have opened a channel to the player, so both are serious with their interest.

It could turn out to be a whirlwind of a transfer saga though, with Dortmund of course happy to keep the player but say they would allow him to leave if he wanted to go.

But some negotiations will need to be done over the valuation.
