“I know Frank likes Chilwell” – Former Chelsea midfielder makes transfer claim

One of the main areas that Frank Lampard is looking to strengthen in this summer is left back.

Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso are his current options, but he has been rotating between the two quite often so far this season, suggesting he still doesn’t know which one is his best option.

This says it all, and it is clear that Lampard wants to bring in a new left back.

The player who is talked about as the main target from the majority of the top sources, is Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell.

The England international will not come cheap, but he is reportedly interested in making the move according to Goal, so perhaps there could be an agreement made here.

Lampard is an admirer of Chilwell, according to former Chelsea midfielder Alan Hudson.

Speaking to Caught Offside, Hudson revealed some interested information on Lampard’s admiration for the 23-year old.

He said:

“I know Frank likes Chilwell.

He’s a very good player and will be a great addition, a player who loves playing and getting forward, which is what Frank loves.”
