Chelsea will surely be in the market for a new left back in the summer with both the futures of Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso in doubt.
Neither have been featuring regularly for Chelsea this season and have seen the right-footed Cesar Azpilicueta start ahead of them. Alonso has grasped a spot again in recent matches though since the formation change by Frank Lampard.
Even still, a left back will be on the agenda for Chelsea this summer, and a player they have been keen on for a long time is Porto’s Alex Telles.
The Brazilian international has been scouted by Chelsea since before 2014, according to the players agent.
This morning Portuguese publication A Bola have reported that the player is likely to leave in the summer, and that Chelsea have made ‘several charm offences’ to sign the 27-year old.
This one seems like it is just destined to happen, and the summer looks promising for a deal to be done.
