Chelsea plot summer move for Manchester United goalkeeper

Chelsea are eyeing up an ambitious move to sign Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

According to a report from The Daily Mirror, Chelsea are closely monitoring the 22-year old England under-21 international whilst he has been on loan at Sheffield United this season gaining regular football.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has doubts over his current number one Kepa Arrizabalaga and has been opting to start veteran backup Willy Caballero ahead of him in recent games.

Henderson’s future is also unclear, with United having David De Gea as their long term number one, but Henderson will not go back there to play as a backup.

This is where Chelsea could take advantage and swoop in with an offer, should Ole Solskjaer decide to stick with De Gea.

Henderson has been having a fantastic season in the Premier League and has probably staked a claim with Gareth Southgate to start as his number one for England at the Euros this summer.
