Chelsea will target a new left back this summer with the futures of Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri under threat.
Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell has been a reported target for that area for some time now. However, it is Porto’s Alex Telles who is emerging as a more likely target this summer now.
The latest report on this story is from Spanish publication SPORT, who acknowledge Chelsea’s long standing interest in Telles, and believe they will pursue him this summer.
However, they also claim that La Liga giants Barcelona are showing an interest in signing the 27-year old Portuguese international this summer.
Telles will likely have a number of potential suitors lining up to secure his services, with his current contract soon to be into its last year. He also has a release clause around 40 million euros, but Porto could accept less rather than risk losing him on a free next summer.
