Frank Lampard has had his press conference ahead of Monday night’s game with Manchester United, but of course the focus wasn’t just on the game.
There was also plenty of discussion about new signing Hakim Ziyech, whose transfer was announced this week. Lampard was asked whether this meant that Pedro and Willian would be leaving, and he laughed off the suggestion that this would be the case – “there are conversations ongoing with both players,” the manager said on the subject of their expiring contracts.
We’re not sure we believe him that these wingers will stay, but we do believe that there are at least conversations happening. Why not make a low ball offer and see if they accept?
