Hakim Ziyech is not a Chelsea player yet, but because he’s joining us in the summer, Blues fans are tuning in to every Ajax game now to watch their new man in action.
Chelsea announced this week that the 26 year old will join the club later this year for £33.4m,
Today he put in a good performance for his current team, but played only the first half. There was no explanation of why this happened, but as he’s only just recovering form an injury it’s presumably just because he’s being worked back to full fitness.
We hope it’s not some kind of relapse of the injury, but given his side were 1-0 up and cruising at the time, we reckon he’s just being gradually returned to the action
With a Europa League knockout game against Getafe coming up on Thursday night, that makes a lot of sense. Ziyech has been magnificent in Europe in the last few years, and we expect to see him shine again later this week.
