Roll back to last month, and all the talk was about which striker Chelsea were going to bring in to help bolster Frank Lampard’s attacking options, as he so publicly kept asking for.
However, Chelsea failed to sign any senior players at all and the talk now is about who they will bring in this summer, and Blues fans are prepared to forgive, but only if they go big!
One player who was often mentioned as a Chelsea target last month was Lyon forward Moussa Dembele.
However, nothing transpired there, but it looks as if Chelsea are ready to revisit this potential move in the summer, according to the reliable publication The Evening Standard.
They believe that the alleged ‘£150 million war chest’ Chelsea have available to spend on players will still be at Lampard’s disposal this summer, and they claim that Dembele is currently their preferred centre-forward signing.
I guess we will have to wait and see what happens with this one.
