Chelsea didn’t have many good players as they lost to Newcastle on Saturday, and Willian was certainly among those who struggled.
It was a game in which we desperately needed some creativity and some spark from out attacking players, and the Brazilian wasn’t able to provide it.
Looking back at training earlier in the week he was in fine form, dropping a double nutmeg on Fikayo Tomori that had everyone in the session celebrating wildly.
What a shame he couldn’t produce the same – or in fact even a single nutmeg , which would have done fine – against the Magpies.
