Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle today, and some players weren’t up to scratch, but there were some who did well.
Speaking to the press after the game, Frank Lampard was sad but made sure not to be totally negative, picking out one of his players in particular for praise.
“It would have meant bringing off maybe N’Golo Kante, who was outstanding all day,” the manager commented after being asked whether he’d considered putting Michy Batshuayi alongside Tammy Abraham up top rather than instead of him.
