Oddly enough, Chelsea are starting to be linked with a few midfielders this winter transfer window, despite a need to add quality elsewhere in the team.
They have been linked a couple of times now with Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumaré.
The latest being reliable French reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi of RMC Sport, who claims that Lille are open to selling the France under-21 international during this window with a number of clubs considering making a move.
He names Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid as being interested parties, as reported by Get French Football News.

Sky Sports have also claimed that The Blues have made an 18-month loan with an obligation to buy offer for Benfica midfielder Gedson Fernandes.
So could this suggest that the midfield is an area that Frank Lampard and his staff are looking to improve during this window? Seems a little odd to me, but this is the time they call ‘silly season’.
