Chelsea have drawn Liverpool or Shrewsbury at home in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
The Blues beat Hull in a close game in the fourth round, while Liverpool and the Shrews face a replay next week, having battled to an exciting 2-2 draw on Sunday.
The winner of their return game at Anfield will travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Frank Lampard’s fresh and rested Blues. It’s a tough draw for us, but an exciting one having had several thrilling cup ties against Jurgen Klopp’s team in recent years.
On the other hand, maybe the away team will shock the world at Anfield and inflict the first defeat of an as yet undefeated season on Liverpool. Then Chelsea will really feel they have an easy path to the quarter finals.
Either way, it looks to be another exciting encounter in another exciting cup trip for the Blues, who have a great record in this competition and will look to continue it, whoever they face.
