Arsenal lost 2-1 at home to Brighton in the Premier League last night and now find themselves just 5 points clear of the relegation zone.
Having sacked their previous manager Unai Emery, former player Freddie Ljungberg is now in charge as an interim boss, but even he can’t change their current fortunes.
Chelsea sold David Luiz to Arsenal in the summer for a reported £8 million fee, as per The BBC.
Luiz was not going to be a regular feature for Chelsea under Frank Lampard, and both parties agreed it would be best that he moved on.
His Arsenal career since then has hardly been a glowing one so far, and he put in another poor performance last night to play his part in another Arsenal defeat.
Chelsea fans have obviously been soaking this up and have been reacting via social media about the demise of Luiz.
Some believe it’s the best bit of business Chelsea have done for some time!
Selling David Luiz for 8m has to be one of the best bits of business we’ve done in recent times. Mans cost them so many games this season and people actually thought he was going to improve them when he’s actually made them worse 😭

My God David Luiz is such a liability in defense. Gets beaten in so many different ways. He’s a complete defender from that aspect. Full arsenal of ways to allow a goal.

Yo who remembers when Arsenal fans acted like they were gonna win the league when they signed Pepe & David Luiz?

If you'd said selling Courtois for £35m and David Luiz for £8m would be good business, I wouldn't have believed you.
That £40m bought us Mateo Kovacic.

Remember when Arsenal fans were trying to mock us about signing David Luiz?
Don’t forget Torreira over Kanye as well? Can’t even fill a stadium up with Emery gone, how do they actually try banter other clubs?
