Willian has yesterday claimed that he is yet to be offered a new contract by Chelsea in his latest interview, as reported by The Telegraph.
However, the article, as written by reliable Journalist Matt Law, claims that sources assure them that Chelsea HAVE offered the Brazilian winger a new deal over two weeks ago, but it seems to have hit a stalemate.
The ageing winger’s deal runs up at Chelsea this summer and he will be free to discuss his next move in January, unless he signs a new contract at the club he has been at since 2013.
Law states that Chelsea will hold further talks with the agent of Willian to clarify the situation, but will not be offering a further deal to the one they have already offered.
Willian keeps reiterating his desire to stay at Chelsea, and Frank Lampard also has similar wishes.
But as December approaches, it’s difficult to see the two parties meeting in the middle here.
