Man City receive injury boost ahead of Chelsea clash

Chelsea are busy preparing to take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City in the massive Premier League match on Saturday evening.

The Etihad hosts the 5.30pm kick off match in front of the TV cameras, and this is probably one of those matches you can consider as being a six-pointer.

Chelsea sit third in the league, just one place and one point above Manchester City in fourth.

Both teams will be looking to keep as close as possible to current league leaders Liverpool, who are currently eight points clear of Chelsea, and nine clear of City.

Frank Lampard will be assessing the fitness of his squad with a few players looking to have late fitness tests to see their involvement in the weekends match.

Guardiola will be doing the same with City, as natural after an international break.

He has been boosted however, by the return to training of goalkeeper Ederson, after his recent muscular injury picked up in the Champions League three weeks ago, as reported by mcfcxtra.

City’s number one will be a lift for the squad, as we all look forward to what we hope will be a great match between two great teams.
