(Video): Petr Cech saves sudden death penalty on ice hockey debut

People were pretty surprised to see Petr Cech announcing he was going to start playing in goal for the Guildford Phoenix ice hockey team this week, but it’s already pretty clear why.

The former Chelsea stopper made a vital stop from a penalty on his debut, and was then mobbed by his new teammates. Is anyone surprised? Big Pete always came up trumps in the most important moments, and it looks like that’s going to carry into his career on the ice too.

As long as he doesn’t get distracted from being our sporting director, this all looks like good clean fun.
