Chelsea lost to Liverpool 2-1 in a game with plenty of positives for the Blues.
Fikayo Tomori was excellent, and N’Golo Kante played 90 minutes too. The team put up a really strong second half fightback, and without some bad luck with injuries and VAR we would have got something from the game.
One thing that was inexcusable was the marking however, and manager Frank Lampard admitted that in his post match interview.
“We have to mark better, in the box… you can’t allow people to stroll in and head it,” the former midfielder moaned. Many Chelsea fans will agree. Let’s hope he can fix things in training this week.
