Frank Lampard has been doing his media duties after the Champions League game against Valencia, with plenty of attention focused on the penalty incident involving Ross Barkley.
One of the more under the radar questions, perhaps because of the way Frank expertly brushed it aside, was about Christian Pulisic. The coach insisted that the US international was still “in his plans”, despite not starting or even being subbed on today.
We believe him – this squad is too small to rule anyone out – but at the same time it’s not a great sign for the winger to find himself down at third in the pecking order – with Callum Hudson-Odoi still to return.
