Jorginho has a ‘mid-to-long-term project at Chelsea’ says agent

Since it’s international break its only accustomed that we hear rumours of players potentially coming and going, but since Eden Hazard’s departure, we have witnessed less.

However, we are hearing some potentially good news regarding one of Chelsea’s key players and his desire to stay at the club for ‘almost’ his entire contractual length.

The report has come via the players agent, who has been addressing questions regarding his clients future and whether he was ever interested in going to Juventus with Maurizio Sarri this summer.

Jorginho has gone from zero to hero in one year at Stamford Bridge, with many supporters growing frustrated with his style of play last season. This season though, they’ve started to sing his name from the stands.

The Italian international is set to stay at Chelsea for the ‘mid-to-long-term’ future, says his agent Joao Santos, who spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss, as translated by The Daily Mail

“No, nothing of the sort happened,’ said Santos of the Juventus rumours.

“We have mid-to-long-term project with Chelsea, similar to when he joined Hellas Verona and then Napoli. There are five years left on his contract and let’s say he’d like to stay for at least another four years.”
