Chelsea confident transfer ban will be lifted and are making moves already

Chelsea are confident that they will be able to sign players again this January, according to The Daily Mirror.

The Blues are currently under a FIFA imposed transfer ban and as it stands, cannot sign any players over the age of 16 until next summer.

But as the publication reports, they have lodged an appeal the the Court of Arbitration of Sport and hope that by doing this the ban will be reduced, making them able to sign players during the next transfer window after Christmas.

The Mirror go as far to say that Chelsea officials have even alerted some of the leading agents in football to tell them that they expect to be back in business by January.

Frank Lampard has filled in a number of positions with some academy graduates and there have been some positive performances off the back of that. But he will also be keen to add some extra talent to some weak areas he is experiencing in his squad right now.
