There are less than 24 hours until Chelsea kick off against Norwich in the Premier League, and Frank Lampard is holding his press conference ahead of the game right now.
Unfortunately for Chelsea the news is bad, at least on the injury front.
Not only has Frank just confirmed what we suspected – that Antonio Rudiger isn’t fit to play tomorrow; he’s also revealed that N’Golo Kante has been suffering with an injury this week.
Just see the Tweet below:
Lampard on team news: "N'Golo Kante has an injury he has carried all week. We will assess that in 24 hours to see if he is fit. Rudiger is not ready." #CFC

We really hope that this injury problem for Kante is a) not serious and b) is not a continuation of the problem that has been bothering him for 6 months now.
We can handle a game against Norwich without the Frenchman – probably. But what we really can’t handle is continually rushing him back to play, and then possibly losing him long term.
We will find out more as time goes on, but this is starting to become a bit of a crisis for our best player, and for our new coach.
The injury is an ankle sprain, according to Liam Twomey of Goal.com
