£80 million Everton target eyed by Chelsea in January

Wilfried Zaha is an unhappy man. Yesterday, the Crystal Palace winger was forced to stay at the club, despite putting in an official transfer request, as reported here by The Express.

The English window slammed closed at 5pm, and not long before then, Palace announced that their transfer business was finished for the summer, and Zaha would be staying at the club.

Everton had a £70 million plus players offer rejected by the London club during the summer window, according to The Guardian.

But Chelsea’s name is one that continues to be mentioned as one of those keen on signing Zaha.

Of course, The Blues are transfer banned, and are still attempting to appeal, meaning it might still be possible that they can sign players in January.

Zaha is a player they might pursue if this is the case, according to an exclusive by Neil Ashton of The Sun.

Ashton goes as far as suggesting that The Blues will table an £80 million bid for the 26-year old forward, should their ban be over turned.
