Chelsea face Frankfurt in Frankfurt tomorrow, and they were put through their paces gently at Cobham this morning for the last time before the trip.
All of the big names were there, even those who might be rested against the Germans.
One person who is almost certain to feature is Olivier Giroud. The France star is the top scorer in the competition, and after some truly awful Gonzalo Higuain performances recently Giroud surely knows that a good showing tomorrow night could secure his place as first choice for the rest of the season.
Maybe that’s why he looked so determined as he strolled onto the training pitch all alone this morning? With his contract up in the summer, this could be do or die for Oli.
