The introduction of Ruben Loftus-Cheek to first team action under Maurizio Sarri has been one of the most positive but also frustrating aspects of Chelsea’s season so far.
Sarri has proved several times over that he rates the England midfielder’s abilities, but was oh so slow in introducing him to first team action.
By the time Ruben had finally proved himself, he was afflicted by injuries whenever he was given a first team shot.

It’s been immensely frustrating for us fans, and we can only imagine what it’s been like for RLC himself.
Still, speaking ahead of tomorrow’s game against Fulham, Maurizio Sarri has been asked about his young midfield charge, who has appeared more off the bench in recent games, and spoke really positively about his impact:

We know his injury has to be managed, but Mateo Kovacic and Ross Barkley have been 6/10 at best overall this season. Ruben has shone whenever he’s played.
So please Sarri, when he’s fit, give him another go!
