The games are coming thick and fast at the moment, so many that there was a press conference today ahead of Monday night’s game against Manchester United, even though our last match was only last night.
Accordingly the task was given to assistant Gianfranco Zola, and he brought smiles and good vibes to a session which has become pretty tense and pretty terse in recent weeks under Sarri.
While the senior man is under immense pressure, Zola is a certified club legend and knows that his legacy is safe, no matter what happens this season.
It made the whole thing much less of an ordeal, and you can only hope he’s having the same effect behind the scenes.
