Pep Guardiola has been speaking after Manchester City’s defeat against Chelsea, and he claimed that his team had played very well, despite losing.
“The difference was one counter attack and one set piece,” Pep said after the game.
It’s hard to disagree, and it’s hardly sour grapes. City did indeed dominate the game, especially in the first half, and the fact that Chelsea went in at half time in the lead was surprising enough, let alone the fact that they managed to see the full game out.
Those two things were the difference – and aren’t we glad about that?
