(Video) – Malo Gusto opens up on his biggest inspiration for his career

There haven’t been may positives for Chelsea this season, but one shining light has been the performances of Malo Gusto.

The 20-year-old arrived in the summer following his move from French club Lyon, which had actually been agreed in January 2023.

The Frenchman has played more than many would have expected, given club captain Reece James has had his season ruined by injuries.

You might think filling the shoes of James in your debut season in the Premier League is a daunting task, but Gusto has taken it all in his stride.

His performances have meant that Chelsea haven’t been in a rush to get James back, and he can take all the time he needs to fully recover.

Behind Cole Palmer he has arguably been Chelsea’s best performer of the season, making 33 appearances in all competitions, providing eight assists.

In a recent interview on TNT Sports Gusto surprisingly revealed his biggest inspiration was Brazilian legend Ronaldinho.
