Sportwitness yesterday carried the story that 15 year old wonderkid Edwin Andersson has chosen to join the Blues when he turns 16 this November.
The youngster’s father was speaking to the media in their native Sweden about his son’s future, and he revealed that he had chosen Chelsea as his destination when he turns 16 and is able to sign professional terms.
That’s great to hear, especially when you know every other major club out there was after him. His father referenced an “incredible” number of clubs who trying to be the chosen one.

The fact that Chelsea have recently given opportunities to Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek must be playing into this decision. Even more importantly, the transfer ban allow for youngsters to get an accelerated development.
This is a nice bit of a confidence boost, but we should remember that until Edwin has signed on the dotted line in November, he can always change his mind. So let’s keep giving the youngsters the minutes they deserve, lest he regret his decision.
