The way that Chelsea have played in big games recently does not bode well for tonight’s game against Manchester United, and that’s pretty much what Paul Scholes has said ahead of the game.
In quotes featured on Squawka.com, the former Man U midfielder said that he thought Chelsea look “in trouble at the minute”.
That’s putting it mildly. Ten goals in two consecutive away games was a crisis rarely seen at this club in decades. Not even in the darkest hour of the Scolari or Benitez reigns did things get that bad, at least statistically.

He also mentioned that from what he had heard it was “not a happy dressing room.”
We really hope Scholes is wrong about all that, but there’s plenty of evidence pointing to him being right. The leaks this week about Gary Cahill being left out of the Europa League squad seem to confirm that.
