According to whispers in Marca this week, which we reported here, Marcos Alonso is wanted by PSG, as well as two Premier League teams.
The Spaniard has been a surprise hit at Chelsea since arriving in the Premier League from Fiorentina in the summer of 2016, and his goalscoring record is better than most midfielders in that time.
It’s no surprise that PSG, who are still looking for a good left back option, are after Alonso, who has just received his debut Spain call-up.
This is a great time for Chelsea to cash in on the former Real Madrid man. As much as it would be painful to lose a fan favourite who has been excellent under Antonio Conte, his value will peak this summer, and Chelsea can make a huge amount from selling him on.
Emerson Palmieri has already been signed as a potential replacement, and Chelsea could easily squeeze big money from the Parisians to sign another left back as well as strengthening other parts of their team.
