Two Premier League giants and PSG prepare bids for £24m Chelsea set piece star

Now here’s an interesting one…

According to Marca, a cutting of which is available here on Sport Witness, Chelsea have been inundated with offers for Marcos Alonso, their surprise hit left wing back.

These include an offer from PSG, and also two from Premier League sides.

Given the success Alonso is having at Stamford Bridge, I think it’s fair to assume those two must be two of the biggest teams in the division if they are hoping to lure the Spaniard away.

Chelsea are unlikely to want to sell to one of their division rivals – although they did so with Nemanja Matic last summer – so PSG looks a more likely option. The Parisians are also looking for a top player on that side, having been disappointed with Yuri Berchiche and Layvin Kurzawa this season.

Whether there’s any truth in these rumours or it’s just the player’s agent pushing for a nicer contract renewal remains to be seen.
