While this lack of representation is hugely disappointing, it’s the way things have been going in recent years as Chelsea’s England stalwarts like Frank Lampard, John Terry and Ashley Cole have moved on.
The good news is that England’s youth teams are more packed with young Blues than ever, meaning that the next generation of senior England players coming out of Stamford Bridge should not be far away.
